Bristol City loanee Jake Andrews scored on his debut as Guernsey FC missed out on a first away win in almost a year after a 1-1 draw at Herne Bay.

Andrews and fellow loanee Kodi Lyons-Foster both started, becoming the first non-islanders to play for Guernsey.

Andrews came close a number of times in the first half before netting a penalty he won early in the second period.

Danny Walder's penalty 25 minutes later levelled the scores as 19th-placed Guernsey stay a point below Herne Bay.

The result was just the second time this year that the Green Lions have not lost on their travels.

Guernsey's last away win came on 12 December 2015 when they were 2-0 winners at Worthing, 357 days ago.
