Wigan Athletic: Bogle, Byrne, Obertan, Gilks, Mandron, Laurent, Weir & Bruce sign

Omar Bogle scored 32 goals in 68 league games for Grimsby

Wigan have signed Grimsby striker Omar Bogle, Rangers goalkeeper Matt Gilks, Eastleigh striker Mikael Mandron, Hartlepool midfielder Josh Laurent and Manchester City's Jack Byrne for undisclosed fees.

French winger Gabriel Obertan has joined the Latics on a free transfer.

Hull City defender Alex Bruce, 32, and midfielder James Weir, 21, have joined on loan until the end of the season.

Bogle, 23, has scored 19 goals for Grimsby this season.

He, Mandron, 22, and Laurent, 21 have all agreed two-and-a-half-year deals, while midfielder Byrne, 20, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.

Obertan, 27, has signed a contract until the end of the season while Gilks, 34, has signed an 18-month contract.

Meanwhile, midfielder Jordi Gomez has joined Rayo Vallecano on a free transfer.

Gomez, 31, returned to the Latics at the start of the season, following their promotion back to the Championship, after his release by Sunderland.
