Swansea spend £4.3m on agents fees between February 2016 and January 2017

Swansea City spent £4,250,030 on agent fees in the last set of full-year results for October 2014 to September 2015

Swansea City spent £4.3m on agents and intermediaries' fees between February 2016 and January 2017, according to Football Association (FA) figures.

Manchester City spent £26.2m, the most of any team in the Premier League, with Hull City spending the least at £1.9m.

In the Championship, Cardiff City were among the highest spending just under £2m, whereas Newcastle United spent the most in the league with over £10m.

Newport spent £10,684 as Portsmouth spent £175,344 -highest in League Two.

The figures, which are the first full-year results released since 2014-15, show spending has gone up 38% over the four divisions with an extra £44m in the Premier League and a 62% rise in the Championship.

In the previous set of figures released by the FA, for the period between 1 October 2015 to 1 February 2016, Cardiff City outspent Swansea City on intermediary and agents fees despite being placed under a transfer embargo at the time.

The Bluebirds spent £542,546 for the four month period while the Swans spent £491,000.

In the same period, Manchester United spent £10m, the most of any team in the Premier League.
