Stoke City midfielder Darren Fletcher and Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths will miss Scotland's friendly with Netherlands at Pittodrie on Thursday.
Fletcher, who captained Scotland in their last game against Slovenia, withdrew after playing 90 minutes on Saturday against Leicester City.
Griffiths was not in Celtic's squad as they beat St Johnstone 4-0 on Saturday.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers said: "He won't play. He had a slight calf injury from our game during the week."
Griffiths picked up the knock after coming on for the last 11 minutes of Celtic's 2-1 Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich.
"He had a scan and it's not overly serious, but it will probably be a week to 10 days, which is unfortunate," added Rodgers.
Interim Scotland coach Malky Mackay has yet to call up any replacements despite the lack of forward options in his first squad.
Griffiths, who has scored four goals in his last five international appearances, was one of only two recognised strikers selected by Mackay for the meeting with the Dutch.
The other is Nottingham Forest's uncapped Jason Cummings, but Ryan Christie, who is on loan to Aberdeen from Celtic, was listed by the Scottish FA among the three original forwards despite being more recognised as an attacking midfielder.
Cummings was an unused substitute as Forest beat Queens Park Rangers 4-0, with former Rangers winger Barrie McKay among the scorers.
Meanwhile, strikers Jordan Rhodes and Chris Martin, who have been left out of Mackay's squad, both scored for Forest's Championship rivals.
Martin, whose only previous goal this season came in Scotland's 1-0 win over Slovakia in October, fired his first of Derby County's campaign in their 4-2 defeat at home to Reading, with fellow Scot Johnny Russell grabbing their side's other goal.
Rhodes scored - for the second game running - in Sheffield Wednesday's 2-1 win away to Aston Villa before being replaced with fellow Scot Steven Fletcher.
