Man Utd v Man City: Old Trafford block on City's documentary cameras

Amazon say cameras will follow Pep Guardiola's side throughout the 2017-18 season to provide a "unique and authentic inside view" of the club

Manchester United have turned down a request from Manchester City to film in the away dressing room on Sunday.

City wanted to use the Old Trafford footage of the Manchester derby for a documentary.

The Blues have signed a £10m deal for a behind-the-scenes film to be shown on Amazon Prime next autumn.

It is understood United have been inundated with requests for the game, including 23 television rights holders.

The club felt the tunnel area would be too cramped already without trying to accommodate cameras from a company that is not one of the Premier League's £10bn broadcast partners.

The Red Devils rejected a request a number of years ago from an unnamed club wanting similar access.

The decision is a blow to City given the enormous publicity surrounding the first meeting of the season between the sides managed by Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho.
