Inverness CT kept a third clean sheet in as many games to help secure a slim win over Dumbarton.

Brad McKay missed an early chance for Inverness, but the hosts took the lead when Joe Chalmers' free-kick was headed in by defender Carl Tremarco.

Liam Polworth, Connor Bell and Tremarco were all denied by Dumbarton goalkeeper Scott Gallacher in the second half.

Dumbarton should have levelled late on but Tom Walsh fired wide when one-on-one with goalkeeper Mark Ridgers.
