Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers shared the points after a goalless draw at Portman Road in the Championship.
The visitors had the game's best chance after 50 minutes when Jordan Cousins' pass across the six-yard box was narrowly missed by Idrissa Sylla.
QPR midfielder Josh Scowen was sent off five minutes from time after seeing a second yellow for a foul on Grant Ward.
Scowen had received his first booking for kicking the ball away in the first half after a foul on Teddy Bishop.
The game's opening chance fell to Ipswich's David McGoldrick whose shot from just inside the penalty area was smartly saved by QPR goalkeeper Alex Smithies.
McGoldrick went close again in the 32nd minute, narrowly missing the target from long range.
Ipswich remain in 10th place, five points off the play-off spots, whilst QPR move eight points clear of the relegation zone.
Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy:
"We played nowhere near the level we have done at home so I'll take the point.
"They are a capable team. It was a horrible, turgid scrap but we have not had many of those games this season and you get them, it's football.
"It was a fair result in the end. I'm not happy about our performance but the positive is that we didn't lose it."
QPR manager Ian Holloway:
"The players showed some unbelievable tenacity against a very good team. Hopefully we have turned a corner now.
"We got into lots of very good positions but we didn't quite get the rub of the green and in the end we get one of our players sent off.
"We have come away with a point and that is a good point against a tough side."
