Rochdale's home game against Southend United was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at Spotland.

The decision to call off the League One match was taken less than three hours before kick-off after persistent rain and sleet in the area.

No date has yet been agreed for the rearranged fixture.

Keith Hill's side remain next to bottom of the table after only four wins this season, with managerless Southend just above the relegation zone.
