Lee Gregory and Steve Morrison scored second-half goals to turn the game around at The Den and deliver Millwall victory over Sheffield Wednesday.

Millwall trailed at half-time thanks to Joey Pelupessy, who cut in from the left-hand side and produced a sweetly-struck shot to give the visitors the lead two minutes before the break.

But Neil Harris' side responded, first through Gregory's close-range header.

Nine minutes later, Morrison turned in Jed Wallace's cross from the right.

Millwall were forced to hang on for 13 minutes of stoppage time after Wednesday's Jordan Thorniley was stretchered off in the second half, but they saw out victory to extend their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches.

Gregory sparked the turnaround as he headed home from close range after Jake Cooper turned a free-kick from the right back across goal.

Wallace then won the ball on the right-hand side of the penalty area and slid his pass across the six-yard box to Morrison, who turned in for his third goal of the season to turn the game on its head.

It left Wednesday without an away win since Boxing Day and just one league victory since manager Jos Luhukay was appointed at the start of January.

Millwall manager Neil Harris:

"There were no teacups getting overturned in our dressing room at half-time. Our shape was excellent but we just missed that end product.

"I knew we were on the front foot and were the better side.

"Second half the attitude was outstanding. We were aggressive in what we did and scored two great goals.

"It is a platform to build on as we are chasing 50 points as quickly as possible."

Sheffield Wednesday manager Jos Luhukay:

"Jordan Thorniley was unconscious after the challenge, he has gone to the hospital so our thoughts are with him. We will have to wait for the next hour or so to find out the extent of the injury.

"But we are very disappointed, we lost the game in just a couple of minutes in the second half and we must look at ourselves.

"It was a very disappointing game, we took the goal, got in front at half time and lost focus after the first goal."
