Yeovil Town 0-1 Wycombe Wanderers

Wycombe remain in the automatic promotion places in League Two as substitute Randell Williams' late goal gave them a narrow win at Yeovil.

In a tightly contested first half both teams showed attacking intent but struggled to create chances.

Yeovil came closest in stoppage time as Otis Khan's inswinging free-kick was tipped onto the bar by visiting keeper Scott Brown.

Alex Fisher thought he had given the Glovers the lead two minutes after the break when he tapped home Jordan Green's cross-shot, but the former Motherwell striker had strayed offside.

Tom James was the next home player to threaten Brown's goal as his free-kick clipped the left-hand post.

Yeovil looked the side more likely to make something happen, but on 79 minutes Marcus Bean fed Williams who sidefooted home from the edge of the area to give Wycombe the lead.

Yeovil pushed forward but could not find an equaliser as the Chairboys narrowly secured all three points.
