Connah's Quay celebrate their Welsh Cup final victory over Aberystwyth

Welsh Cup winners Connah's Quay Nomads will face Shakhtyor Soligorsk of Belarus in the Europa League first qualifying round.

The first leg takes place in Rhyl on Thursday, 12 July and the second a week later.

Bala Town and Cefn Druids can also reach that stage if they win preliminary-round ties against Tre Fiori and Trakai respectively.

Kazakhstan's FC Irtysh Pavlodar could await Druids, while Bala could face Slovenian club NK Rudar Velenje.

"We come up against an in-form Shakhtyor Soligorsk who are in the middle of their season, so there is no doubt that it will be a real challenge," Connah's Quay manager Andy Morrison said.

"We have shown over the last two campaigns that we are more than capable of getting big results against very good teams."

Druids will be at home against Lithuanian side Trakai in the first leg of the preliminary round on Thursday, 28 June while Bala will be away in Italy to face Tre Fiori, who are based in San Marino.

Their second legs will be played a week later, on Thursday, 5 July.

The Lakesiders will be competing in the Europa League for a fifth season while Druids have reached Europe for only the second time in their history.

Bala will play their home leg at Rhyl's Belle Vue, with Druids using The New Saints' Park Hall home in Oswestry.

"We've got a few people within the club that are scouring the internet to try and find out a bit more information about them," Bala manager Colin Caton said of their opponents, who have won their national championship seven times.

"We'll contact the Welsh FA and they will give us a run down on them so we'll wait for the information off them, have a look at a lot of clips and videos, so some research and plan the best we can.

"They've done well in their own domestic league and are in Europe so obviously they're good. It's going to be difficult."
