Ipswich have signed Peterborough winger Gwion Edwards for an undisclosed fee while goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski has signed a new three-year deal.

Welshman Edwards, 25, scored seven goals last season despite more than three months out with an ankle injury.

He put in a transfer request at the League One club earlier this month.

Poland international Bialkowski, 31, agreed an extension in January but has now formally signed the deal, which includes an option for a further year.

He was in Poland's World Cup squad and has made 148 appearances for Ipswich since joining in 2014.

"It was always my intention to try to keep him at this football club," said owner Marcus Evans., external "We did receive bids for Bart but they were rejected very quickly."

Former Wales Under-21 international Edwards joined Posh from Crawley in 2016, scoring 11 goals in 59 league appearances for Peterborough.
