Falkirk 2-0 Ayr United: Jordan McGhee scores twice in win

Defender Jordan McGhee scored two stunning goals from long range as Falkirk defeated Ayr United to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.
McGhee's first was a cross-come-shot that flew in at the far post. But his second was a fantastic rising strike from 22 yards that found the net.
Falkirk goalkeeper Harry Burgoyne showed great agility to deny Lawrence Shankland on several occasions.
One of Shankland's efforts did nestle in the far corner, but was offside.
Ray McKinnon's resurgent Falkirk are now just one point behind seventh-placed Queen of the South as the battle at both ends of the Championship intensifies.
Ayr United are without a win in their last four games now but on another day, against another goalkeeper, might have scored a few in Falkirk.
Falkirk manager Ray McKinnon: "It's a deserved victory. I said we needed other people to step up and share the burden of scoring and Jordan McGhee's popped up with two.
"Harry Burgoyne's has two great saves tonight. He was good excellent when called upon and that definitely aided us in our victory."
Ayr United manager Ian McCall: "We were poor first half albeit we missed the best chance. We gave the ball away too cheaply. The first goal is a total fluke and the second is a great finish.
"The way things are going for us, we need to score the first goal. I'm not troubled by it. If we can replicate the first and second quarter of the season, and not the third, we'll be fine."
