Rochdale 3-1 Scunthorpe United
- Published
Rochdale moved to within one point of safety in League One after a home win against fellow strugglers Scunthorpe.
Veteran striker Aaron Wilbraham scored twice for the hosts and Kgosi Ntlhe also netted to cancel out Jordan Hallam's strike for Scunthorpe on his League debut.
Rochdale are now 22nd and unbeaten in three games under caretaker boss Brian Barry-Murphy, while Scunthorpe are 18th, two points above the relegation zone.
Rochdale took the lead in the 14th minute after good work from Matt Done, with Wilbraham netting from close range to make it 1-0.
They were not ahead for long, though, as Joe Bunney's mistake allowed Hallam to pounce and score from just inside the area two minutes later.
Rochdale restored their lead after 51 minutes when an initial shot from Ollie Rathbone was blocked but Ntlhe was on hand to fire home from six yards.
The three points were secured when Wilbraham got his second on the hour mark as he headed home a Ryan McLaughlin cross.
