Lars-Jorgen Salvesen was the hero for Derby with the winning goal just moments after coming on as a substitute.

He had six months out with a serious knee injury and tonight is his second goal for the club.

The Norwegian has been talking to BBC Radio Derby:

"It's hard to explain, it's what I've been working for every day.

"After my injury and being out for six months it's all you think about and dream of.

"It's been a tough journey, I came in at a difficult time for the club and then getting my injury really quickly I couldn't contribute at the end of last season.

"I've worked so hard for six months to get back and I'm so happy now."

Coventry came from behind to beat Sheffield United and extend their lead at the top of the table to four points.

Their former boss Mark Robins inspired Stoke to another thumping win, 3-0 at Oxford United, to make it eight goals in four days and go above Middlesbrough, who needed a dramatic leveller at Leicester to snatch a point with 10 men.

Millwall were thrashed 4-0 at Birmingham but stay fourth, for 24 hours at least, while down the road Charlton are up to fifth after a dramatic win over West Brom, who slip to 14th.

Bristol City and Hull City lost ground after defeats to upwardly-mobile Blackburn and Derby respectively while Ipswich and Watford remain in the middle of the pack after sharing the points at Portman Road.

Sheffield United remain in the relegation zone after an 11th defeat of the season while it might yet get worse as the four teams around them play tomorrow night.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall at half-time.

First half they were hesitant, there looked like there was a hangover from the Wrexham game, almost like they did not want to make a mistake, then you do make mistakes.

Defensively it was not a good watch, but they still had opportunities going forward.

Whatever was said at half-time, and bringing Ephron Mason-Clark on, made such a difference.

And that is why we love the Boro, we deserved at least a point tonight. Never say die attitude and that point could be priceless come the end of the season.

UTB! Should have been three points but for the dodgy pen. Great spirit from our 10 men shown to get the point!

Coventry City's Brandon Thomas-Asante told Sky Sports:

"We spoke at half time about having been in tough positions before.

"What we want to do is learn to win different types of games and prove ourselves in different tests.

"That's what it takes to be there at the top and we're going to have plenty more of those."

Time for Mason to go. Going to drag Albion into a relegation scrap. One of the lowest scorers in the league, and dropping points left, right, and centre.

    Neil, Worcester

West Brom have just two wins from their last 10 games and have dropped down to 14th. The Baggies are also goalless in their last three matches.

    What a second-half transformation here.

Coventry go four points clear at the top of the Championship.

Sam McCallum gave the visitors a first-half lead but Coventry then dominated after the break.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto slid in an equaliser before Bobby Thomas got up to meet a corner and put City ahead.

Brandon Thomas-Asante then added a third with almost the last kick of the game.

A point apiece is probably about right.

Imran Louza had Watford ahead before Jaden Philogene equalised within five minutes.

Neither side took a grip of the game in the second period but Ipswich's Ivan Azon almost won it in the dying moments only to be denied by a fine save from Egil Selvik.

Four wins in a row for Derby for the first time since April.

Carlton Morris headed them into the lead with his fifth goal in three games before Joel Ndala's first league strike levelled matters.

Substitute Lars-Jorgen Salvesen scored what proved to be the winner having only been on the field for a matter of seconds.

Back-to-back defeats for Bristol City but three straight wins for Blackburn Rovers.

Yuki Ohashi turned in the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time after good work from Ryoya Morishita, and in truth it was the least Rovers deserved as they created the lion's share of the chances and called Radek Vitek into action on numerous occasions.

That's just a sixth home defeat in 31 games for the Robins while Rovers have now won three away games while keeping clean sheets.

Into the final five minutes at the CBS and it's gone rather quiet.

Coventry forced a corner that came to nothing and United haven't been able to build on their brief spell of pressure.

City looking to see this out and go four points clear at the top of the table.

But here's a corner for the Blades and it comes to Sam McCallum at the top of the area. He has two attempts blocked and then a ball from the left it bouncing around dangerously before finding the grateful arms of the goalkeeper.

Middlesbrough players celebrate in front of their travelling fansImage source, Shutterstock

What looked like being a miserable night for Middlesbrough is saved by skipper Luke Ayling's stoppage-time header after they'd fallen behind to a penalty and then had a man sent off.

Hayden Hackney's handball gifted the home side a penalty which Jordan Ayew converted.

Alfie Jones was dismissed for a professional foul just moments after Tommy Conway spurned the visitors' best chance with replacement goalkeeper Asmir Begovic denying him in a one-on-one situation.

But Ayling's late, late intervention keeps Middlesbrough in second place.

    What drama!
