World Cup finalists Croatia suffered a shock Euro 2020 qualifying defeat in Hungary - ranked 52nd in the world - to give a boost to Wales in Group E.

Fourth-ranked Croatia, Slovakia and Hungary all have three points, as do Wales, who have played one game fewer.

Daniel James' early goal in Cardiff allowed Ryan Giggs' side to edge past Slovakia 1-0 earlier on Sunday.

Ante Rebic opened the scoring for Croatia, but Hungary hit back through Adam Szalai and Mate Patkai.
