Fulham: Huddersfield's Terence Kongolo and Oxford's Jordan Archer sign

Terence Kongolo has made 60 Huddersfield appearance since initially joining on loan from Monaco

Fulham have signed Netherlands defender Terence Kongolo from Championship rivals Huddersfield on loan until the end of the season, while keeper Jordan Archer has joined on a free transfer.

Huddersfield paid a club record £17.5m for Kongolo, 25, in July 2018 but he has not played since 30 November.

The former Feyenoord man is under contract with the Terriers until 2022.

"I like the winning mentality here and I want to give everything to help this club get promoted," Kongolo said.

The Swiss-born player, who can play at centre or left-back, won the most recent of his four Netherlands caps against Slovakia in 2018.

Meanwhile, Scotland goalkeeper Archer, 26, has joined Fulham for the rest of the season after his short-term deal at Oxford expired.

Scott Parker's side have an option to extend the former Millwall keeper's deal by a further 12 months.

"Fulham are playing good, attractive football," he said.

"There are top quality players here, so to be a part of this group is something I couldn't turn down."

Archer, a Tottenham Hotspur academy graduate, previously had a successful spell at Millwall, making 166 appearances after signing a permanent deal in 2015.
