Stockport County picked up their first away win of the calendar year and moved into the National League play-off places with a last-gasp victory over Ebbsfleet.

Stockport had the best of the chances in the first half, hitting the woodwork in the 38th minute after a goal-mouth scramble.

Goalscoring opportunities were few and far between in the opening stages of the second half, with no clearcut chances being created from either side.

In the 79th minute, Tomi Adeloye went close for Ebbsfleet but could not guide his header either side of visiting keeper Ben Hinchcliffe.

The deadlock was eventually broken in 87th minute as Paul Turnbull picked out Ash Palmer in the middle, who headed home.
