Greenock Morton 1-1 Arbroath: Late header earns hosts' draw
- Published
Sean McGinty's stoppage-time header earned Morton a share of the points against Arbroath as both sides' play-off hopes suffered a blow.
Arbroath looked to be heading home with the points after Craig Wighton put them ahead early in the second half.
But after Bobby Linn struck a post for the visitors, Morton's assault on the Arbroath goal finally paid off when McGinty met a 93rd-minute corner.
The result leaves both sides two points adrift of the top four.
Morton manager David Hopkin: "We always knew it was going to be a tough game. I think this is our fifth game in the past 10 or 11 days and I think it caught up with us a wee bit.
"We conceded a very poor goal, which wasn't like us. But credit to the players, we kept going."
