Bolton Wanderers 1-0 Bradford City

Goalkeeper Billy Crellin saved a penalty to ensure Bolton Wanderers held on to beat Bradford City 1-0 in League Two, four days after he was criticised by boss Ian Evatt following the draw at Cambridge.

Nathan Delfouneso's third goal of the season had given the Trotters the lead before Bantams striker Billy Clarke had his penalty clawed away by Crellin to earn Evatt his first home win as manager.

Crellin was urged to 'man up' by his manager, although the former Barrow boss later apologised for those comments after social media criticism.

Delfouneso, who recently became a new dad, had further reason to celebrate when he netted the 13th-minute winner. He fired home from 12 yards after Antoni Sarcevic's lob was headed onto his own bar by Elliot Watt in an attempt to clear.

It was the only successful effort on goal from the pre-season promotion hopefuls, who laboured to the points in this game.

Bradford, now three games without a win, had one decent penalty shout rejected before Clarke's miss while Anthony O'Connor, Connor Wood and Clayton Donaldson went close to an equaliser.
