Abo Eisa's goal was enough to give Scunthorpe a first win at Vale Park since 2006

A superb solo finish from Abo Eisa was enough to give Scunthorpe victory at Port Vale to lift them out of the bottom two in League Two.

Eisa curled a superb right-footed shot into the far corner from just outside the box midway through the first half.

Ryan Loft was denied the chance to extend their lead in the second half as his shot came back off the post.

Vale thought they had levelled in injury time, but the goal was ruled out for a foul on the goal-line.

A second defeat in as many games for the hosts saw them miss the chance to move back into the play-off places.
