Queens of South 2-0 Alloa Athletic: Hosts earn first win of 2020
- Published
Queen of the South's first win in 2020 lifted them out of the bottom two and left Alloa Athletic propping up the Scottish Championship.
Alloa had the first clear chance of a scrappy game when Alan Trouten blazed over from Robert Thomson's cutback.
That miss was punished when Gregor Buchanan powered in a header to give the hosts a half-time lead.
Joe McKee netted a terrific free-kick shortly after the break and Stephen Dobbie was denied by a superb save.
The veteran Queens forward went close twice again before limping out of the action late on.
