Robert Lainton regained consciousness, but team mates say he could not recall the incident

Wrexham salvaged a point against Bromley after seeing their goalkeeper Robert Lainton knocked unconscious in a first-half collision.

Lainton lay motionless after coming off second best in a challenge with striker James Alabi.

Both sets of players left the pitch amid a lengthy delay while paramedics treated Lainton before taking him to hospital.

Wrexham confirmed he has since been discharged.

Wrexham looked disjointed when play eventually resumed and Bromley took advantage just before the break with top scorer Michael Cheek firing home, despite an initial save from replacement keeper Christian Dibble.

Bromley looked in control, but Wrexham hit a purple patch late in the second half, and Adi Yussuf headed home for his fourth goal of the season.

Yussuf could have added a second moments later, but both sides had to settle for a point.

Both sides are now unbeaten in five games, with Bromley eighth in the table and Wrexham rising to fourth.
