Arbroath gained a vital point in their fight to avoid relegation from the Scottish Championship as they drew to home with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Jack Hamilton scored his second goal in two games on the stroke of half-time to give the hosts the advantage.

But the lead was short-lived, with Shane Sutherland heading Inverness back on level terms shortly after the break.

Arbroath though could have taken the three points at the death, only for Kris Doolan to crack a shot off a post.

Although Dick Campbell's side remain second bottom, they are now three points clear of Alloa, albeit having played a game more.
