Doncaster have signed Brentford goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe and Barnsley winger Elliot Simoes on loan until the end of the season.

Balcombe, who has also agreed a new four-and-a-half-year deal with the Bees, came through their youth ranks but has yet to play for the first team.

The 21-year-old spent part of the 2018-19 campaign on loan with Boreham Wood, making eight appearances.

Simoes, 21, has turned out 27 times for Barnsley since joining in January 2019.

Having started his youth career at Portuguese side Benfica, Simoes moved to England and came through the ranks at FC United of Manchester prior to his move to Oakwell.

Since joining the Tykes, Simoes has scored three goals but has made just nine appearances this term, with his most recent game coming in their 3-0 loss to Cardiff in November.
