Queen of the South 2-1 Greenock Morton: Dumfries side ease relegation fears
- Published
Queen of the South pulled further clear of their relegation rivals at the foot of the Scottish Championship by beating Greenock Morton at Palmerston.
Ayo Obileye and Aiden Fitzpatrick had the Dumfries side - who started the day in eighth - in control at the break.
And, although Kalvin Orsi pulled one back for Morton in the second half, it was not enough to avert defeat.
The win lifts Queens up to seventh, while Morton slip out of the promotion play-off places.
