Arbroath 1-0 Raith Rovers: Kris Doolan goal keeps hosts unbeaten in 2021

  • Published

Arbroath remain unbeaten in 2021 after Kris Doolan's goal helped them to a Scottish Championship win over Raith Rovers.

The experienced striker lifted the ball over the advancing Jamie MacDonald on the hour after a fine pass by Michael McKenna.

MacDonald repelled a couple of Dale Hilson shots near the end to prevent more damage for Raith, who stay third.

Dick Campbell's haven't lost in their last seven matches and are up to sixth.

Arbroath manager Dick Campbell: "We were on top from start to finish and I thought 1-0 flattered Raith. Our goalkeeper's not had a save to make.

"Bobby Linn was magnificent. He's 35 and a bin-man and he's out of this world."

Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn: "Arbroath were the better team, there's no doubt about that. We've got to dust ourselves down and move on."
