League Two promotion chasers Newport County were held at home by Stevenage, who extended their unbeaten run to four games.
In a game of few chances, County keeper Nick Townsend made an important block to deny Elliott List early in the second half.
County pressed for a goal with Matt Dolan's cross tipped onto the bar by keeper Jamie Cumming.
Newport stay sixth in the table and Stevenage move up one place to 19th.
That also put the visitors nine points clear of the relegation zone.
Newport County manager Michael Flynn:
"It's a point in the right direction. We're gutted we didn't get the three but their effort and commitment, it was first class.
"There were one or two moments where we just lacked a little bit of quality or took the wrong decision.
"I feel for them but as in work rate, they were spot on."
