Wrexham scored two fine goals and maintained their push for promotion with victory over league strugglers Barnet.

Luke Young put the visitors in front with a long-range effort just before the break, while Elliot Durrell made sure of the result 10 minutes from time.

Wrexham are now unbeaten in their last four games and are up to fifth in the National League.

Barnet remain second from bottom.

Wrexham manager Dean Keats said: "We could have been 1-0 up in the first 30 seconds. The keeper pulled a great save off and a couple of minutes later he pulled an unbelievable save off, and you start to think is it going to be one of the those days?

"We scored a great goal in the first half. I would have liked the second half to be a bit more controlled, but you don't always get your own way.

"I'm taking nothing away from Barnet. In the second half they flipped us, they turned us and played us down the sides.

"We had to stand up to the physicality of them and defend our goals."
