Jamie Gullan's late goal kept up Raith Rovers' promotion push as Greenock Morton were beaten in the Scottish Championship at Stark's Park.

The on-loan Hibernian forward came off the bench to strike from a narrow angle and cut Hearts' lead to 13 points.

Manny Duku earlier came close for the hosts, heading wide from Daniel Armstrong's cross, while Raith's Lewis Vaughan also threatened.

Eighth-placed Morton remain three points above Arbroath.

Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn: "It took a long time coming but I think the performance deserved the win. We weren't at our best but you can put that down to Morton being organised.

"It's a big three points for us. Now we can look around about us and see what we can do. It's very tight."
