Arbroath secured a vital victory over Scottish Championship basement club Alloa Athletic to stretch the gap between the sides at the bottom of the table to seven points.
After a goalless first half, Jack Hamilton's finish opened the scoring for Dick Campbell's side.
But Alan Trouten hauled the visitors level just five minutes later.
However, with 83 minutes on the clock, David Gold's close-range finish earned a crucial win for the home side.
