Kevin O'Hara's 10th-minute opener sent Dunfermline on their way to a much-needed three points

Dunfermline Athletic ended a seven-game winless run at home to Queen of the South to move back into the Scottish Championship play-off places.

Kevin O'Hara's early close-range finish opened the scoring before substitute Fraser Murray added a second with eight minutes remaining.

Chris Maxwell pulled one back five minutes later to give the visitors hope.

But Ewan Henderson slotted home in injury time to secure the points.

The victory moves Stevie Crawford's men two points above fifth-placed Inverness Caledonian Thistle, who have played a game fewer than Dunfermline.

As for Queens, their play-off hopes look all but over as they sit five points off fourth spot with just two games remaining.
