Kwame Thomas: Injury blow for Wrexham striker

Former Burton striker Kwame Thomas joined Wrexham in August 2020
Wrexham striker Kwame Thomas will miss the rest of the season after suffering a ruptured Achilles.
The 25-year-old former Burton, Doncaster, Coventry and Blackpool player is Wrexham's leading scorer in 2020-21 with 10 goals.
His injury is a significant blow to the Welsh club's hopes of winning promotion to the EFL this season.
"It's massive. It is unfortunate, it's an accident and it's happened," said Wrexham boss Dean Keates.
"Its going to be a long journey for him and we will support him through it."
Wrexham are sixth in the National League table after Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Notts County.
Thomas suffered the injury in training, while fellow forward Jordan Ponticelli picked up a hamstring injury in the Notts County loss.
Keates says he will now scour the free-agent market for attacking options.
"We need another body, there's no denying that," he added.
