Champions League: Ruben Dias your man of the match as Man City beat PSG
- Published
On a night of superb Manchester City performances, it was hard to pick one standout player as Pep Guardiola's side reached their first Champions League final with a commanding display against Paris St-Germain.
While Riyad Mahrez scored the two goals that sent City to the final in Istanbul thanks to a 2-0 second-leg win and 4-1 aggregate victory, Ruben Dias' defensive heroics earned him your man of the match, with an average rating of 8.64 in our player rater.
And it was Dias' embrace with Oleksandr Zinchenko and John Stones after a last-ditch block from a Neymar shot that will be one of the defining images of this tie.
Dias was one of a number of City defenders who "literally threw their bodies on the line," according to former Blues centre back Nedum Onuoha.
"Everyone was doing it, saying 'we will not be broken'," said Onuoha. "That's a really exciting team and moment to be a part of and all that stuff matters. You're all in it together and I love seeing all that stuff as much as I love seeing a goal."
BBC Radio 5 Live summariser Dion Dublin added: "Every Manchester City player could be the man of the match."
