Ipswich Town have signed former West Brom winger Kyle Edwards on a three-year deal and Middlesbrough left-back Hayden Coulson on a season-long loan.

Edwards, 23, joined the Baggies at the age of six, playing 49 times for them before being released this summer.

"I'm at a point where I need to be playing consistently. I want to show people what I can do and I think this is a great place for that," he said., external

Coulson, also 23, made 17 appearances for Boro in the Championship last term.

He has previously enjoyed loan spells with St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership and Cambridge United in League Two.

The pair bring the number of summer signings made by the League One side to 14, with Edwards' deal including the option of a further year in the club's favour.

Ipswich chief executive Mark Ashton said: "Kyle is a player that we have pursued all summer and we have beaten a number of Championship clubs to his signature."
