Rory McKenzie's second-half goal gave Kilmarnock a hard-fought victory against Greenock Morton and kept them in touch at the top of the Scottish Championship.

McKenzie got on the end of Fraser Murray's cross to grab the winner 15 minutes from full-time.

It keeps Tommy Wright's side three points behind leaders Inverness Caledonian Thistle, having only lost to the Highland side so far.

Morton sit eighth on four points.
