Arbroath 4-0 Hamilton Academical: Hosts continue fine start to season
- Published
Arbroath's fine start to the Scottish Championship season continued as they thumped relegated Hamilton Academical at Gayfield.
Scott Stewart started the rout on the stroke of half-time, and provided the assist as Michael McKenna doubled the lead after the break.
The visitors' hopes of a fight-back took a blow when Jamie Hamilton was sent off with 20 minutes to go.
And Arbroath took advantage with more goals from Joel Nouble and Nicky Low.
The win moves Arbroath above Partick Thistle into third, while Hamilton fall to ninth.
