Wrexham 1-1 Chesterfield: Paul Mullin rescues late draw for Dragons

Chesterfield lost ground on National League leaders Grimsby after conceding a late equaliser at Wrexham.
Fraser Kerr had given them the lead, converting Gavin Gunning's knock-down after Wrexham were undone by a corner.
The Spireites should have gone 2-0 up when Rob Lainton brought down Kabongo Tshimanga, but the keeper made amends by saving the striker's penalty kick.
Ben Tozer's long throws had caused Chesterfield problems all night and Paul Mullin seized on one to equalise.
Aaron Hayden almost claimed a late winner for the Dragons in front of a bumper 9,147-strong crowd, but saw his effort rebound off the crossbar.
Chesterfield drop from second to fifth, four points behind Grimsby with Wrexham a further six points back in 12th.
Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said:
"It was a good response, obviously disappointed with the first half in particular. I thought they played the conditions a lot better than us.
"It was a horrible, blustery night. We tried to play, but we played too slow. We didn't play past that press quickly enough or with enough quality and we played too much in our own half.
"In the second half I thought we responded well and [I'm] delighted to get the point and it could have been all three in the end."
