Ayr United 2-1 Queen of the South: Manager Jim Duffy gets first win
- Published
Jim Duffy earned his first win as Ayr United manager as they came from behind to beat Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship.
Lee Connelly scored his sixth goal in seven games, tapping in from a Soares Junior cross, to give Queens the lead at Somerset Park.
Aaron Muirhead equalised with a penalty after James Maxwell was fouled.
On-loan Rangers winger Maxwell then fired past Solomon Brynn to complete the home side's comeback.
It means Ayr move one place above Queens to sixth in the table, four points adrift of the play-off spots.
