Chesterfield 2-1 Boreham Wood
- Published
Chesterfield held off a Boreham Wood second-half revival to move into second place in the National League.
Danny Rowe's penalty after 19 minutes put them ahead after goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore brought down Kabongo Tshimanga.
Tshimanga doubled Chesterfield's lead with a strike from the edge of the box before Will Evans smashed home from 30 yards out for Wood in the 67th minute.
But Evans received a second yellow card in injury time for a push as the visitors' comeback fell short.
