Hamilton Academical 1-0 Queen of the South: Andy Ryan winner leapfrogs hosts above visitors

  • Published

Andy Ryan's fifth goal of the season sealed three precious Scottish Championship points for Hamilton Academical against Queen of the South.

The forward had only been on as a substitute for a few minutes when he tapped in Josh Mullin's goal-bound strike.

Accies defender Mihai Popescu had earlier had two headers cleared off the line.

Queens went close through Ally Roy and Lee Connelly in the first half.

Hamilton's second home league win of the season means they leapfrog Queens into seventh.
