Grimsby Town v Boreham Wood: Match postponed following storm damage to stand roof
- Published
Grimsby Town's home game with Boreham Wood has been postponed following morning storm damage - barely two hours before the scheduled kick-off.
The National League club released a statement to say that a stand roof had suffered damage in high morning winds.
"It is regretted, in the interest of safety for all due to enter onto the footprint of the stadium, that today's fixture has been postponed," it said.
"Tickets for the original fixture will be valid for the rearranged date."
The decision was taken "after liaison with the Safety Advisory Group and taking into account continuing high winds. Unfortunately due to structural damage caused to a stand roof, which has occurred late morning."
