Matty Dolan's last-gasp penalty completed a thrilling Newport County comeback against 10-man Sutton United.

David Ajiboye's fine brace put Sutton ahead, but they had Craig Eastmond sent off for a lunge on Robbie Willmott.

Lewis Collins began the Exiles' fight-back with a superb 25-yard strike, then Courtney Baker-Richardson's scuffed shot looped into the Sutton net.

In time added on, Enzio Boldewijn fouled Jake Cain in the area and Dolan stepped up to give Newport victory.

The Exiles climb to eighth in League Two, a point behind Sutton in sixth who remain in the play-off places despite Tuesday's loss.

Newport County manager James Rowberry said: "I don't know what my heart-rate would have been on the side of the pitch, but really disappointed in the first half with the goals we conceded.

"We spoke at half-time and changed a few things tactically to try and beat their 10 men and, well, it worked, so I was pleased, really pleased.

"Lewis (Collins) has had a bit of an up and down time since I've been here... he's been in and out (of the side) and credit to him today, he should be proud of himself and how he's conducted himself in the last two weeks off the pitch, on the training pitch - what he's done to try and get himself better - that's why he started tonight. I know what he's capable of."
