Inverness CT's game with Partick Thistle at the Caledonian was called off following the hosts' Covid outbreak

Queen of the South and Dumbarton have had festive games postponed after Covid-19 issues left both clubs unable to field a team.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle's Scottish Championship game against Partick Thistle on Sunday had already been postponed because of a Covid outbreak.

Queens' Championship matches at Morton on Sunday and Raith Rovers on December 29 are off as is Dumbarton's League 1 fixture at Queen's Park on Sunday.

New dates are to be confirmed.

An SPFL statement said: "Following requests received today from Dumbarton and Queen of the South, their forthcoming games have been postponed.

"This is due to the clubs not having sufficient players available to fulfil the fixtures due to Covid cases."

Inverness Caley Thistle had their game on Sunday postponed after infections and injuries left them with only eight available players, two of them goalkeepers.

The Highland club, currently two places above fourth-top Partick in the Championship, are due to visit Dunfermline Athletic on Wednesday.
