Arbroath extended their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship to four points after a comeback win away to title hopefuls Raith Rovers.

The Kirkcaldy side went ahead against the run of play just before half time through a Reghan Tumility tap in.

Dick Campbell's visitors levelled immediately after the break through on-loan Livingston striker Jack Hamilton from close range.

And Nicky Low's penalty sealed the win four minutes from time.

Defeat leaves Rovers in fourth, six points adrift of the visitors, and without a win in five outings.

Raith Rovers manager John McGlynn: "I'm extremely disappointed. Before a ball is kicked, you have to compete and I don't think we competed enough.

"We got ourselves in a good position, but the lack of character after they equalised was alarming."

Arbroath assistant manager Ian Campbell: "When you come here, you have to have your wits about you. Raith play attractive football that can hurt you.

"To a man, I thought we were good and I thought we deserved to win, especially after going a goal down. It shows you the character in the team to make sure we made a game of it and fought back from being down a goal."
