Ayr United 0-2 Greenock Morton: Gavin Reilly double continues visitors' resurgence
- Published
Dougie Imrie's impressive start as Greenock Morton manager continued with victory away to fellow Scottish Championship strugglers Ayr United.
Striker Gavin Reilly netted in each half, finding the bottom corner before converting from close range.
Morton, who propped up the table when Imrie took over last month, are now two points clear of the bottom two.
Imrie, charged with alleged historic betting offences on Friday, has taken seven points from a possible nine.
And Morton have now earned successive league wins for the first time in 13 months.
Seventh-placed Ayr were seeking a third consecutive victory but are now just a point above the Greenock side.
