Queen of the South 3-0 Greenock Morton: Queens move off bottom

  • Published

Queen of the South beat Greenock Morton to move off the bottom of the Scottish Championship.

Max Johnston netted from outside the box to give Queens the lead and that advantage was doubled before half-time.

Aidan Fitzpatrick's attempt from the centre of the area beat Jack Hamilton.

Hamilton fouled Ruben Soares Junior early in the second half and Ruari Paton converted the penalty to ensure the hosts moved two points above Dunfermline Athletic.

And the Palmerston side, who have a game in hand, are five points off Hamilton Academical.
