Greenock Morton's Robbie Muirhead scored the only goal of the game

Raith Rovers' poor run of form continued as Robbie Muirhead's goal gave visiting Morton victory in the Scottish Championship.

Muirhead's curled effort settled the contest at Stark's Park and left the hosts with one win in 16 league games.

Raith looked the likeliest to break the deadlock in the first half, with Morton goalkeeper Jack Hamilton saving from Sam Stanton and Matej Poplatnik.

Ethon Varian headed against the bar, before Muirhead found the winner.

It leaves Raith in fifth, six points behind Partick Thistle in the fight for a play-off spot, while Morton are now just three points further behind.
