30 August

Scunthorpe United have sacked manager Keith Hill with the club second bottom of the National League.

The Iron won their first game of the season but have lost their subsequent five, with Hill's last game in charge being Monday's 2-0 home defeat by Halifax.

28 August

Scunthorpe United have signed striker Rob Apter from Championship side Blackpool on a loan deal until January.

The 19-year-old signed on professional terms with the Seasiders in late 2020 and made his debut in the EFL Trophy against Leeds United that season.

27 August

Halifax Town have signed Osayamen Osawe, 28. The striker, who was born in Nigeria but grew up in Manchester, has joined after being released by German side KFC Uerdingen 05.

Maidenhead have signed versatile defender Idris Odutayo, 20, from Premier League side Fulham on a loan deal until the end of December.

Gateshead have brought in Crawley Town midfielder Owen Gallacher on a loan deal until the end of December.

The 23-year-old was restricted to five appearances last season because of injury and has said he is "buzzing" about the move and eager to get some much-needed game time.

26 August

Scunthorpe United have signed Middlesbrough midfielder Isaac Fletcher on a loan deal until January.

The 20-year-old, who spent time on loan at Hartlepool last season, came through Boro's academy and made his first team debut for the club in the Carabao Cup against Barnsley earlier this month.

Notts County have signed Leicester City goalkeeper Brad Young, 20, on a season-long loan.

Yeovil Town have signed forward Jake Scrimshaw from Bournemouth on a two-year deal and Callum Rowe on a short-term loan deal following his release from Exeter City this summer.

Scrimshaw, 21, progressed through the Cherries academy and has played for Eastleigh, Walsall, Newport County and Scunthorpe in recent seasons on loan.

Rowe, 22, can play in midfield and defence and made eight appearances for Exeter in League Two last season.

Maidstone United have signed central defender Kodi Lyons-Foster on loan from National League rivals Aldershot Town.

Lyons-Foster, 25, progressed through the academies at Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa and has played more than 120 times for Aldershot since signing in 2019.

25 August

Versatile defender-midfielder Oscar Threlkeld has joined Oldham Athletic on loan from Bradford City on a deal which will expire on 2 January.

The ex-Bolton, Plymouth and Beveren player, 28, made 27 games appearances for the Bantams last season, following a move from Salford City.

The Latics have also added Birmingham City defender Mitchell Roberts, 21, on loan until 1 January.

24 August

Yeovil Town have extended the loan signing of attacking midfielder Sam Pearson from Bristol City until January.

The 20-year-old initially joined the club on a one-month deal and has played three times for Yeovil so far this season.

Barnet have signed midfielder Marvin Armstrong from National League South side Worthing.

The 23-year-old joined Worthing in 2019 and was part of their side that won promotion from the Isthmian League Premier Division in April.

22 August

Bromley have signed Arsenal goalkeeper Tom Smith on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old, who has made six appearances for the Gunners' under-23s side, signed a new contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of last season.

19 August

Altrincham have signed former AFC Wimbledon midfielder Agli Kaja on a short-term deal.

The 25-year-old former Albania Under-21 international spent time on trial with the club during pre-season.

17 August

Solihull Moors have signed forward Connor Parsons on loan from League One side Wycombe Wanderers until January 2023.

The 21-year-old previously played in the National League with Bromley during a loan spell last season and has also played in the fifth tier with Notts County.

16 August

Altrincham have signed teenage Manchester United goalkeeper Dermot Mee on an emergency loan.

The 19-year-old has played for United's under-23s and is a Northern Ireland Under-21 international.

Alty are currently without two goalkeepers, with Matt Gould suffering a concussion and Ollie Byrne awaiting international clearance following a move from Connah's Quay Nomads.

13 August

Torquay United have signed midfielder Nelson Iseguan and forward Tommy Hughes on loan Exeter City and Ipswich Town respectively.

Iseguan, 19, has played once for Exeter's first team in last season's Papa John's Trophy and will stay at Plainmoor until January.

Hughes, 21, played three times for Ipswich as a substitute in 2019 and has impressed for the League One club's Under 23 side.

12 August

Yeovil Town have signed forward Gime Toure on a permanent deal and defender Alfie Pond on loan from Exeter City until January.

Toure, 28, was released from Carlisle United at the end of last season having signed in 2020. The Frenchman spent part of last season on loan at National League side Aldershot.

Pond, 18, has progressed through the Grecians academy and made the first of his three first-team appearances in the EFL Trophy last season.

Aldershot Town have signed full-back Marcel Elva-Fountaine after a successful trial during pre-season.

The 21-year-old former Reading and Burnley youngster played for Hayes and Yeading United last season and will join Lewes on loan until November.

Chesterfield have signed goalkeeper Ross Fitzsimons, 28.

The Spireites, who had keeper Lucas Covolan sent off on his league debut last week, have not disclosed the length of deal the former Weymouth custodian has signed.

11 August

Gateshead have appointed former Newcastle United goalkeeper Rob Eliot as their first-ever technical director.

The 36-year-old former Republic of Ireland international will be registered as a player and also assist with first-team coaching.

Former sporting director, and member of the board of directors Dave Penney has left York City following the successful takeover this summer.

10 August

Eastleigh have signed defender John Oyenuga following a successful trial period in pre-season.

The 27-year-old spent the last three seasons with Farnborough where he helped them gain promotion to the National League South and won the supporters player of the season award for 2021-22.

5 August

Former Doncaster midfielder Lirak Hasani has joined Gateshead on a one-year deal with the option of a further year.

Yeovil Town have signed forward Matty Grivosti on a youth loan from Bolton Wanderers.

The 19-year-old moved to Bolton last season after impressing at non-league Warrington Town.

Aldershot have signed Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Glover on a two-year contract.

The 21-year-old scored three times in 27 appearances whilst on loan with the Shots last season.

4 August

Bromley have signed Leyton Orient midfielder Ethan Coleman on a season-long loan.

The 22-year-old has played 15 times in the EFL for the O's and previously played for King's Lynn Town in the National League.

Solihull Moors have signed former Southend and Stevenage left-back Ben Coker, 33, on a one-year deal.

Coker has played in all five of the Moors' friendlies in pre-season, leading up to Saturday's National League opening against Aldershot.

3 August

Eastleigh have signed Northern Ireland youth international midfielder JJ McKiernan on loan from Watford until January.

The attacking midfielder spent the end of last season on loan at Bohemian FC.

2 August

Chesterfield have signed experienced midfielder Mike Jones on a one-year deal following a trial period.

The 34-year-old left Barrow in the summer and has played 550 games as a professional for clubs such as Carlisle United, Oldham Athletic and Sheffield Wednesday.

Scunthorpe United have signed striker Marcus Carver, 28, from Hartlepool United for an undisclosed fee.

Eastleigh have signed midfielder Nigel Atangana following his release from Exeter City at the end of last season.

The 32-year-old Frenchman spent three seasons with Exeter, helping the team win promotion to League One in May, and has previously had spells with Portsmouth, Leyton Orient and Cheltenham Town.

York City have signed 24-year-old midfielder Dan Pybus ahead of their National League season opener against Woking on Saturday.

Pybus joins from Dunfermline Athletic and has previously played for Bradford City as well as Norwegian side FK Tonsberg.

1 August

Altrincham have loaned attacking midfielder Aaron Bennett from Preston North End for a three-month spell.

The 18-year old is yet to make a senior appearance for the Lilywhites.

Yeovil Town have signed Plymouth Argyle youngster Finley Craske on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old, who can play in defence or midfield, has played once in the league for the Pilgrims and three times in the EFL Trophy.

Southend United have signed Wrexham forward Jake Hyde on a season-long loan.

The 32-year-old scored three goals in 16 appearances for the Welsh club last term.

Shrimpers striker Sam Dalby has moved in the opposite direction for an undisclosed fee.
