Ben Brereton Diaz ended Blackburn's run of three games without a goal as they beat Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.
Brereton Diaz latched onto Bradley Dack's pass to settle the match in the 16th minute and move Rovers up to fifth in a tight Championship table.
The visitors, who had lost their previous three games and failed to score in any of those, should have won by a greater margin.
Blackpool almost snatched a point late on when Rhys Williams headed wide from Kenny Dougall's corner.
Rovers scored for the first time since they beat West Brom when Dack threaded a perfectly-judged ball from the halfway line through to Brereton Diaz and the Chile striker tucked his finish beyond Dan Grimshaw.
However, the Blackpool goalkeeper denied Brereton Diaz a second soon afterwards and the visitors continued to dominate, with Lewis Travis and Tyler Morton both off target from distance.
Blackpool's best moments came from Josh Bowler, but Rovers did well to deny him space and Thomas Kaminski was given little to do before half-time.
Rovers might have killed off the contest with a flurry of chances after the break, with Grimshaw motionless as Brereton Diaz sent another attempt whistling fractionally wide of the post.
Dack went close after Grimshaw had denied Brereton Diaz again, as did Tyrhys Dolan and teenager Adam Wharton, who was making his full league debut.
The Seasiders - who had fought back to draw both of their last two games 3-3 - nearly claimed a share of the spoils again, but Williams' near-post header flew wide of the target.
